FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTIONS
What kind of work do you do?
Photography, film, writing, prints, calendars & stickers are what I am working on right now.
Where are you located? Do you travel?
I am located in the Spokane, Washington area, also known as the Inland Northwest. I love taking on clients from all over this area, & would be more than willing to travel should the opportunity arise! Anything more than an hour away from me does require varying travel costs to cover gas, lodging, food, & time.
What do you specialize in?
There’s not much I wouldn’t try at least once, but if I had to focus in on something, it’s probably photography.
My photography focuses primarily on portraits, couples, engagements/proposals, weddings, maternity, births, newborns, & families.
My work in film focuses primarily on covering births, or the occasional wedding, announcement, or special memory to look back on forever.
My poetry makes up most of my writing, but I enjoy occasional prose and essay writing as well.
My art consists of stickers & nature photography which I sell as prints & make into calendars & other fun things.
What does your availability look like?
I am currently booking for 2025! Availability is already limited, so don’t hesitate to reach out.
Do you have an assistant/second-shooter?
Yes. My husband, Ian, attends most sessions with me, serving as both assistant & second-shooter. He is there at no additional cost to you, making sure every beautiful moment is captured.
What does the cost of service go toward?
The cost for all services goes toward our work, our efforts, necessary equipment (cameras, lenses, tripods, memory cards, batteries, chargers, hard drives, editing software, applications, subscriptions, flash drives, mail, office supplies, & more), content creation (creating the photos, videos, or graphics), & our time (time it takes for the shoot; time it takes to edit; time it takes to create), business expenses & travel.
Is there a booking fee?
Right now, all services are subject to a $50 (+tax) booking/retaining fee, which is factored into your final cost.
Are there payment plans available?
Yes, payment plans are available. I am incredibly flexible with payment, as long as it is due in full by the time of service. I accept payment via Honeybook portal, cash, check, Venmo, Facebook pay, & Zelle at the moment.
Do prices ever change?
All prices are negotiable and do fluctuate. As my skill increases, my prices will, too. However, it is always important to me to cut people a deal. Let me know your budget, & I can do my best to work with you.
How long does it take to return the final product?
Depending on the season & the project, I typically deliver projects online within 3-20 weeks. PLEASE NOTE: While I have an assistant who attends your photoshoot with me, I am the only person who works on your pictures once we leave your session. There are typically several thousand to sort through, & chances are high that I have other galleries I am working on before I get to yours. I am also a chronically ill individual who can’t always accurately predict when a gallery will be completed due to the unpredictability of my health struggles, hence the wide range of time it may take to deliver. But I can assure you: I am working hard on your gallery, taking my time to ensure that it is perfectly curated for you & your story. The wait is well worth it.
How does being chronically ill impact your work?
I have a lot of conditions that I live with: Mixed Connective Tissue Disease, Dysautonomia (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), Hyper-mobility Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, & Epilepsy. As you can imagine, these conditions greatly affect my life, but as you can hopefully also see through my work, they do not stop me! For the several years that I have been battling these illnesses & working photography, I have been able to find a beautiful balance, & am lucky to have a wonderful healthcare team & treatment plan that allows me to work & remain reliable. I have never had to cancel a session or event due to my illnesses, & in the event that this did ever have to happen, I assure you, another photographer would fulfill my contracted duties & services. Typically, the most impact my conditions have on my work is by delaying delivery schedules & exceeding anticipated deadlines. In the case that this does ever happen, I am in communication with clients & can assure that I am working hard to finish while also prioritizing my health.
